Pittsburgh Youth Media is a coalition of education, media and community groups formed in early 2012 in Pittsburgh. The goal of Pittsburgh Youth Media is to create opportunities for young people in our region to engage in both traditional and non-traditional forms of media, using the tools, skills, practices and technologies that professional media outlets use, thereby enabling them to participate thoughtfully in reporting on current events and issues.

Participating as a youth reporter for One Young World in 2012 was among the most influential life experiences of my grade school years. Thank you to everyone on the team who has and continues to do great work and I’m always a message away if there are any volunteering opportunities.
