My all time favorite hobby in the world is to create new makeup looks. Since I can remember, I have always been fascinated by the idea that you can enhance and embrace your natural beauty or even completely alter your appearance with just a few simple products. In fact, the art of cosmetics has become kind of an addiction of mine over the past few years of my life. Although most of my friends and family do not understand this, it is truly my favorite hobby.

Making and creating new makeup looks affects me because wearing them cause me to feel more confident in my daily life. And I know, I know, inner beauty is what is most important in life; not what is on the outside. But, I can not help but feel more happy when I have applied makeup.

Additionally, cosmetics seem to make me extremely happy because it is the only time that I get to show off my creative side.  Unlike others that I know, I am not the best artist, writer, or musician; however, I do believe that I am pretty creative when it comes to the field of makeup. There are just so many different colors, pigments, and formulas to choose from!

In summary, although others may not understand, constructing new makeup looks is one of my favorite hobbies.

 Loren Perry is a freshman at West Allegheny High School.  She enjoys cheerleading, music, and writing.  In her free time, she volunteers at her local church as well as her library.
