Meet Keera

By Keera Frye- 12th Grade, Southmoreland High School

I’m interested in being a youth reporter because as the beginning of senior year nears, I am still not entirely sure of what I want to go to college for. I have always loved writing whether it be fiction or factual. As I got older, story telling by any means has become a passion of mine. I like to think that my voice has the power to be more than just my voice, that it can be the voice of others. Even though I know that I want to use my voice, I don’t exactly know how.

Recently, public relations, business, and communications have all become majors of interest for me. This program seems like a good way to pin point what I want to do in regards to media whether I want to be in front of a camera, behind a camera, or in front of a computer screen writing. I hope being a youth reporter will steer me in the write direction for my future and help me learn how to use my voice even more effectively.
