I want to be a Youth Reporter because I enjoy writing and journalism as a hobby. Despite living in Pittsburgh my entire life, I do not know much about Pittsburgh history and events that occur throughout the city. When applying, I found that this would be a great opportunity to learn more about my hometown and get exposed to all aspects of life here. However, I do not want to be a journalist in the future, I feel as if this is a great opportunity to grow my writing skills, do something that I enjoy in the summer, as well as get exposure to current events.

Demarre Evans is a 12^th Grader at Central Catholic High School. A resident of Penn Hills, he enjoys activities such as music, art and writing.
