The Heinz Endowments Youth Philanthropy Information Fair was held on July 3, 2013 at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and showcased eight community concerns identified by Class of 2013 high school graduates serving in The Heinz Endowments Summer Youth Philanthropy Internship Program. This video includes interviews with Wayne Jones (Senior Program Officer of the Children, Youth and Family Program at The Heinz Endowments) as well as the interns, who describe their ideas for change in Pittsburgh and how they developed requests-for-proposals (RFPs) that will be used to award a total of $200,000 to nonprofits in Pittsburgh to address the concerns they identified. Interns also discuss the selection process and their experience overall with the philanthropy program.
