What Are You Really Feeling?

I think the new reaction buttons are a noteworthy feature that more social networking sites should include. I like this new feature because it lets the user express how the post made them feel. If a person sees something that makes them laugh, they can convey that to the person who posted it to express their true feelings towards the post. If something makes the user angry or upset, there is a way to communicate this, rather than just the traditional like. With the amount of people signing up for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.; I think this new feature is a creative way to let people become more connected and on the same page with their friends and family. I wish more sites would do this because it could really benefit them and bring in new users. I would use this feature when my friends post something funny or nostalgic that can tug at the heart strings. For this type of post I would want to go further than the conventional like. This is more convenient than commenting because when you comment, everyone can see the message. Using this new feature others would not be able to see what reaction button I chose for that specific post, making it more private. Overall, I think this is a beneficial tool for today’s progressive social media world.
