Loren Perry is a rising freshman reporter who will be attending West Allegheny High School in the fall. She enjoys cheerleading, music, and writing. In her free time, she volunteers at her local church as well as her library.
Emma Paulini is a junior at Fox Chapel Area High School. She is on the Senior Staff of her school’s literary arts magazine, is published in the Ralph Munn Creative Writing Anthology, and has received Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Emma also enjoys dancing, cooking, and exploring the world.
Maura Sheedy is a rising senior at Oakland Catholic High School who lives in Thornburg. She previously has been a part of Young Writers Institute. She considers random things she has seen on the Internet to be her muse for her writing. She enjoys lacrosse, cheer, dance, and blogging.
Troy Stephenson is 15 years old and a rising freshman at Pine-Richland High School. He enjoys Photoshop, editing and video production. He spends his free time playing hockey, guitar and videogames, and hanging out with friends. Troy sees himself going to CMU or Cornell for logistics.
Dominic Lazzini is a 10th grader at South Fayette Township High School. He resides in McDonald, PA and is part of the high school’s media club. He enjoys painting, playing lacrosse, history, and geography. In Dom’s freshman year, he was on the highest honor roll.
Suzen Richardson is a soon to be 10th grader in Propel Braddock Hills High School and lives in Wilkinsburg. She has submitted writing pieces to organizations around Pittsburgh. She loves photography, drawing, jewelry making, and creating stories.
Jason Earle will be a 12th grade student at North Allegheny High School this fall. He lives in McCandless where he plays soccer and basketball while pursuing various musical endeavors. Also, Jason participates in North Allegheny’s cable television station, NATV.
Russell Finelsen is a rising sophomore at Bethel Park High School. He is the editor-in-chief on his school’s newspaper, Hawk Eye, where he has written over 150 articles. He enjoys travelling and reading.
Matthew Ryan Miramontes is an 11th grader in Cornell High School. He resides in Neville Island. Matthew writes for his school newspaper and wants to write as a journalist for a major magazine one day. He is interested in music and movies.
Stephanie Wang, a rising junior at Peters Township High School, is an avid writer and food enthusiast. Her past writing has been featured on The Almanac’s Youth Page, and she is currently the editor of Business Funnel.
Nico Chiodi is going into 11th grade. He lives in Thornburg and is home schooled. He has been in Pittsburgh Youth Media for 2 years and has published stories in Belt Mag’s Pittsburgh Anthology. Nico can be seen playing banjo with his father and brother all around the city.
Fiona Grace Lubold will be a junior at North Hills Senior High School in the fall. She enjoys music, arts, acting, cooking, baking, reading, and writing. She hopes to gain more experience in media and journalism with Pittsburgh Youth Media.
Liza Wilson is 16 years old and a rising junior at Oakland Catholic High School. She lives in Monroeville, PA. Her interests include foreign affairs and languages. She enjoys rowing and watching movies.
Tyler Baum is a rising senior at the K12 International Academy and is an active contributor to the iGlobe Newspaper. He hails from Irwin, PA and plays travel ice hockey and baseball, skis, and enjoys history and visiting national parks. He lives with a host family in the Washington, D.C. metro area to play ice hockey.
Grace Jin is a senior at North Allegheny Senior High School. She has edited for VARIATIONS magazine, won Scholastics awards, and published multiple art and writing pieces on Teen Ink print magazine. Grace lives in McCandless and loves to play piano, paint, and eat ice-cream.
Serena Zets is a sophomore at Pittsburgh Creative and Performing Arts High School. At CAPA, her discipline is literary arts where she received the opportunity to take part in an introductory journalism course. She is a resident of Squirrel Hill where she bakes, reads, and most importantly sleeps.
Allison Spear will be entering eleventh grade at Seneca Valley High School. She lives in Cranberry Twp., PA. She participated in a summer camp at Pittsburgh Filmmakers to learn how to film and edit videos. She enjoys marching band, strumming her guitar, and having fun with her friends.
