Op-Ed – Thoughts on Seasons

By Suzen Richardson – 10th Grade, Propel Braddock Hills High School

Out of all the seasons, my absolute favorite one has to be fall.  I’m completely obsessed with it, I love how absolutely beautiful it is outside whenever fall comes around, I love how the leaves change color and that none of them are the same.  I love the crisp autumn morning whenever I wake up, I love seeing the pumpkins and jack-0-lanterns being placed out on the front porches of every home indicating that Halloween is on its way.  I love the crunching of leaves under my feet as I walk around outside in the cold air but not so cold that I can’t bear to be out there. And I love the smell of pumpkin spice and turkeys whenever Thanksgiving comes around.  This season is my absolute favorite but it’s not just because of all the holidays though it is the one time of year that I am able to think clearly about my writing and my drawing; it is the season that I am truly inspired.
